Reviewing Your Daily Reports in Real Time

Colorful new icons in your Learning Genie app means you now have immediate feedback on reports you are sending to families.

Improving Your Reporting

Communicating with families is a major component to family engagement, so you want to be sure that your teachers are doing it right. Our newest update, involving Daily Reports and how they are reviewed, allows for administrators to coach teachers in a simple and efficient manner. Administrators now have the ability to review all reports before they are sent to families. Here's what your Daily Reports should look like in your educator app with the latest update.

New Colors!

You may have noticed a couple new icons on the right side of your educator app. These colorful new symbols show whether your report has been approved. This is what each symbol means:

 Your Report has been approved!

Your Report is pending approval.

 Your Report has been rejected.

How to Approve the Reports

Administrators approve reports on our web portal. When an administrator logs into our web portal, they should see a red dot alerting them about a new report that needs to be approved. In this example, our administrator sees a red dot for their Learning Genie Academy classroom.

Once you click on the specific class, you will be directed to a page where you can see all of the reports that are either pending or have already been sent home to families. When you select a report, you can decided whether or not to approve it. If you approve the message, you simply click the word "approve".

Providing Feedback

If you feel a report is not ready to be sent, select "reject" and then provide your feedback on why you did not approve the message. We strongly suggest you take advantage of this coaching moment to help your teachers improve. All messages are confidential, meaning families can not see this exchange between the administrator and educator.

Once you have sent your response to the teacher, they will be able to see the administrator's feedback in real-time, right on their timeline!

Editing Your Message

Once the rejection notice has been viewed by the teacher, they can go back and edit their report.

Make Your Updates and Wait For Approval!

If administrators feel a teacher no longer needs to have their reports monitored, they can remove the approval queue feature entirely.
